‘Bogboy’ by Deirdre Kinahan, a deeply moving story, directed by Joanne Keane (Balally Players).
Set against the lonely backdrop of rural Meath, ‘Bogboy’ follows Brigid, a young woman in recovery, as she collides with a neighbour whose past is knotted up in violence, memory, and the shadows of ‘the disappeared’. A play that mixes grit, humour, and heartbreak.
‘Dead Asset’ a new dark comedy, written and directed by Ray McBride. Four criminals on different rungs of the underworld hierarchy are thrust together to guard a high-profile hostage. However, when things start to go wrong, this dysfunctional crew's already frayed relationship descends into something altogether darker and more dangerous.
